Music Editing
Hi everyone! My journey with music started out of necessity. I began teaching at the dance studio I grew up in around 2006. The current "music guy" was all the way across town - the type with a big set-up where you met with him in person for hours at a time and he charged money and frankly - it didn't even end up that great. I knew there was another way. Being the millennial that I was, I began looking online for options. I started playing around and doing my own music.
A couple years later, the other teachers at the studio realized that just handing their CDs to me and getting an edit back the next day for free was a great idea! Ever since I have been editing music for the whole studio - and any other projects I could find or make up for myself. I am constantly searching for new things and new ways to improve my skills.
In 2019, I decided that I really love doing this - and my music is a lot better than what I hear out in the dance world at competitions, etc. So, I decided to try and start a business! Now I am blessed to be able to dance around my living room editing songs for other people, to try to make their artistic visions come to life in beautiful ways. Nothing makes me happier than hearing a song come together seamlessly.
Pricing Structure
Simple edits begin at $5.00 per song. This would be something like fading a song at the end/beginning, or removing a chorus/verse from a song.
Complicated edits, or 3 or more edits per song, require a lot more of my time. These would be priced at $10.00 per song. This category also includes removal or exchanging of words, or lengthening a song via repeats.
Song medleys are also available for $10 per each 5 minutes in length. (For example, a 9 minute medley would be $20, or a 12 minute medley would be $30).
Free Consultations
Many music projects require a lot of input from both parties. I would love to work with you to create your vision. Please feel free to send me an email and your song file (.mp3) for a free consultation. I have a lot of experience doing this, and I can give you ideas for what edits will sound the best when they are completed. Don’t hesitate to contact me - there is no question too simple or too complicated.
Payment is expected only after you are satisfied with your piece of music. I will never make you pay for something that didn’t turn out exactly as you hoped it would!
